Unless you are desperate for quick cash, do not take your items there to sell...do not expect a reasonable offer. I went to sell them items that were BRAND NEW...with tags...everything from toys to shoes to clothes, brand names...they bought most of it, but for a very LOW offer price. Down right ridiculously low price. For over $500 retail in items, they offered me only $35.00!!!! I will not sell to them again. I can do better selling at a garage sale or even on ebay, even after auction fees! It might be a little more work, too, but at least I know for a fact that I'll average more than $1.66 per item!!!! Gosh, I don't even want to think about what they might pay for my used/gently-worn articles of clothing...


Consignment Shopping is a Hit or Miss Deal

I read the reviews prior to writing my own, and finally decided to say that shopping at a used clothing store is different every day....even with the people there. I had gone there twice now. The first time I check out in my baseball cap, no makeup (!!) and got stared down. The second time, I was treated very well ~hence I was put together. The lady that checked me out was so sweet and fun to talk to. Now I shouldn't have to get dressed up to go shopping to get good service, but this is a fact ladies. I have seen and been subject to it time and time again. Rambling on, the store is great for play clothes (especially for boys!!) Prices are great. The one problem that I did find that bothered me was the fact that there was no changing room. I still believe that a consignment store should have one. There are rude people in the world that's a fact. Hang your head high and happy shopping!!


Hard to work with

I have been to this Once Upon a Child to sell twice and they are very unfriendly and unwilling to work with you in any way. I went ahead and sold stuff to them the first time, but they were just down right rude to a lady that came in there to pick up her check. Today I went back and drove from McKinney to sell them stuff. They told me it would be a 5 hour wait, very ubruptly, and I said it was fine that I would just leave them and come back tomorrow. She said that if they were done before close today, that they'd call and I'd HAVE to come back and get them before close! It was 3:15 pm when I went in there. She said I needed to wait around for 5 hours and if they didn't get to me in the those 5 hours that they'd get to it tomorrow and I'd have to come back tomorrow to get them. Very irrational. Guess they don't need the business and they let you know that! So, I told them I wouldn't be back and I'm taking my business to another consignment shop that is more friendly and has le
